At Illinois School of Health Careers, we can provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to begin a meaningful career in the in-demand healthcare field. Our students will have the ongoing support of the faculty and staff from enrollment through graduation. The ISHC Career Services Department can provide you with placement assistance throughout your career. Financial aid is available for those that qualify.
Each one of our healthcare training programs is designed specifically to prepare you for the demands of the real world. At ISHC, we believe in a hands-on, career-focused approach to learning, offering an effective combination of both clinical and classroom instruction.
Medical Assistant – This program can teach you a combination of clinical, lab and diagnostic procedures along with detailed administrative training providing you with the well-rounded education necessary to enter a career as a medical assistant.
Dental Assistant - Students will have access to our fully furnished dental labs and can be trained to take X-rays and impressions and to complete other dental procedures along with patient interaction techniques and administrative skills.
Patient Care Technician – This multi-occupational program is designed to prepare you for a number of entry-level healthcare careers. You can be trained to perform a number of clinical procedures and administrative tasks.
In order to better prepare you for your career, all of our programs include an off-site externship to give you experience in the field alongside other skilled healthcare professionals. This real-world experience can give you the practical knowledge necessary to enter your career with confidence.
Our facilities include fully furnished medical and dental labs, X-ray rooms, spacious classrooms, computer labs, a resource center and a student lounge. Faculty members are dedicated to the success of their students and will provide personalized, hands-on instruction.
Illinois School of Health Careers has two convenient locations in Chicago. Our Loop Campus is located just a few steps off the world famous State Street in "Education Corridor" and the Cumberland/O’Hare campus is located in Northwest Chicago near O’Hare Airport. Both campuses are easily accessible by public transportation.
